Pulsar CRS™ Clarifier is a cationic polymer that when applied in small doses over a long period of time, and immediately after a backwash cycle; can improve filter efficacy on a sand bed from an average of 30-40 microns down to 2 microns*. An independent study shows this effectively traps up to 99% of cryptosporidium on the sand bed surface, clarifying the water to improve overall pool water quality.

What is Cryptosporidium?

What is Pulsar® CRS?
Pulsar® CRS is a commercial pool clarifier that captures Cryptosporidium on the sand filter bed. It traps up to 99 percent of oocysts and filters particles from 30-40 microns down to 2 microns.
Does chlorine kill Cryptosporidium?
Normal chlorine levels do not kill Cryptosporidium quickly because its shell resists disinfection. Facilities use hyperchlorination or a clarification process. Pulsar® CRS traps up to 99 percent of Cryptosporidium on the filter bed.
How do you treat a pool after a crypto incident?
Operators follow CDC guidance to close and hyperchlorinate, or run a clarification process that captures oocysts on the filter. Pulsar® CRS cuts turbidity 37.5 percent on average while trapping crypto for a faster reopen.
Is crypto remediation chemistry NSF certified?
